Normal People

Well, today's activities are pretty much so the same as yesterday's, so I don't really have any reason to tell ya about them.
I have much more to say about the diary I just started reading. After I changed the layout, one nice person, Hardrain, commented on it in the guestbook. After someone signs, I always go to their homepage and check their diary out...and oh my god...it was crazy. If I had not have seen in her profile that she was 17, I would have thought she was some scholar in their mid-fourties just coming back from her trip in Tibet, where she learned the meaning of life and that the chicken actually came first. Her writing just goes so deep, it makes me embarrassed by the way I write. She's so much like me, yet so much more mature. One of her entries actually brought me to tears. Can you believe that...something that another person (of my age and gender and everything) said, brought me to tears. I don't really want to say what it was because I'll probably just start up again. But still, that just blows my mind. After she signed, I did what I always did and looked at how many people had listed her as a favorite, and she had 130. That's a lot compared to my....four. It made me think that she's just another person. Just like Perceptions or anenigma in that they're all normal people just telling what happened to them today. Normal people....yet I look up to them. And after I signed Hardrain's guestbook telling her how I felt, I went to my profile and updated it, and the number of people that listed her as a favorite had changed to 131.
Well, I may not update for a few days because we're going to install our new computer. Although I doubt it'll happen any time soon...if I don't update for a while, you know why. [updated 7-16-01: It's a week later, and the new computer is still sitting on the floor. I'm having my doubts that we will ever install it.] LATER |
